Having spent two decades in the industry, I witnessed a shift in the way Insurance Brokers service their clients and not for the better.  Rapid consolidation has led to a handful of Global Brokers now dominating the market who don’t always put client’s needs first.

I saw complacency setting in. Last minute delivery of renewal terms. Unexplained premium increases. A lack of alternative insurer options. Slow response times. Poor claims handling. Limited transparency around Broker Earnings. For many clients this became the norm. With overall service at an all time low, I wanted to challenge the status-quo.

I wanted to create a better client experience, one free from declining service standards, corporate bureaucracy, and a one-size-fits-all approach. A firm that invests appropriate time into looking after their clients properly. And so, Monteith was born from the belief that insurance advisory should be personal, proactive, built around you and delivered to meet your needs.
